Falcons' headset problems may have forced them to burn a critical timeout late in the Super Bowl

one before him, had some trouble with the sideline communication headset in his helmet during Super Bowl LI.
Video shows Ryan talking to an official, then walking to the sideline looking frustrated.
Ryan wasn’t the only Falcons quarterback who couldn’t hear the plays on his headset. Practice squad quarterback Matt Simms appeared to be having a similar issue when he spoke to Ryan on the sideline.
It was definitely a shit show. The Falcons let a 25-point lead slip away to lose to the Patriots in overtime, and it is possible the headset malfunction had something to do with it.
The Falcons had to burn a timeout to deal with the malfunction. With 30 seconds left in regulation and the game tied, they had to waste a down spiking the ball to stop the clock, when a timeout would have come in handy.
But mostly, the Falcons just blew it. They stopped running the ball in the second half with a comfortable lead. There’s a reason conventional football wisdom suggests that running the ball in that situation is a good idea. It often works. What the Falcons did, well, that didn’t work.
Still, this isn’t the first shady incident to be connected with the Patriots and New England’s Super Bowl LI win. Falcons offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan’s backpack with the Super Bowl game plan in it went missing during Opening Night, and there are plenty of reasons to believe this game was totally rigged.
Believing that it was rigged might make it a little easier for Falcons fans, anyway.

Patriots parade live stream: How to watch Super Bowl 2017 celebration online

Congratulations to the Patriots for pulling off one of the greatest sports comebacks of all time in Super Bowl LI. Only New England could make a 25-point deficit feel so small, as Tom Brady rallied his team to beat the Atlanta Falcons, 34-28, in overtime.
Whether you’re a New England fan looking to celebrate, or a Patriots hater looking to revel in your sorrows, there’s good news for you. The victory parade, which starts at 11 a.m. ET, will live stream on NFL Network and locally on CBS BostonNBC Boston, and WCVB.
NESN also has a live stream:
“Congratulations to the greatest team, the greatest coach, and the greatest quarterback of all time for winning their fifth Super Bowl victory in Houston,” Mayor Marty Walsh said in a statement. “The Patriots have made Boston and New England proud — fire up the duck boats!”
Just like in the Patriots’ 2015 Super Bowl parade, it appears as though the weather will be a factor, with a mix of snow and rain expected, as well as temperatures in the mid-30s and some pretty intense wind gusts.
Walsh said that based on past attendance, anywhere from 500,000 to 1 million fans could attend the festivities.
The city of Boston has more details about the parade route and road closures for anyone who wants to celebrate a fifth Super Bowl with Brady and Co.

Falcons fan buried jersey to save future generation from pain

The Atlanta Falcons were so, so close to pulling off a huge Super Bowl victory over Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.
Instead, they were on the wrong side of the worst loss in Super Bowl history.
Because of Atlanta’s late-game meltdown, however, some fans are trying to forget about the devastating loss by any means necessary, even if it means doing something completely unconventional — burying jerseys.
“If you have un-earthed this, you have not found anything vintage or cool. This shirt is bad luck...Seriously re-bury it immediately.
If you are still curious and don’t believe me, Google Super Bowl 51. This shirt blew a 25 point lead.
Put it back! Trust me!”
All the best to this Falcons fan and the rest of Atlanta fans. If you’re still sad (which I’m sure you probably are), check out this open letter from Ted Glover of the Daily Norseman — it’ll cheer you up, I promise.

Patriots parade 2017: Boston celebrates Super Bowl in a bunch of a snow and doesn't care

The New England Patriots are no strangers to victory parades, and residents of Boston are certainly used to cold, but the celebration of the team’s win over the Atlanta Falcons looks much colder than usual. Cold enough to keep most sane people inside.
But even with snow coming down hard, Patriots fans are out in force Tuesday morning:
And they’re definitely not all sane people:
This is the fifth victory parade for the Patriots in the last 16 years and it’s safe to say New England fans aren’t even close to sick of winning yet.
